Cancer or Crabs – 23 june – 23 july
Cancer represents the first opening of the Universal plant to the light, the first feeling of the leaves. The Cancer’s motto is ‘I feel’. Cancers are very sensitive people who, sooner or later, also develop a thick armour since they can’t survive in this world without one. Cancer is the first water sign and everything a Cancer does will be guided by his feelings. This can be tiring to non-water signs, since to a Cancer just about anything he feels ‘is true’. There is really no arguing with a Cancer about this – once he ‘feels’ something that feeling represents the truth for him. They are not good in reflecting or relativating their feelings: they are controlled by their feelings rather than that they control their feelings. For this reason the sign is a good sign for mediums and oracles. The lower type of Cancer will be a rather obnoxious or perhaps harmless emotional type who wanders from one ‘deep feeling’ to the next. The higher type of Cancer will be an excellent medium or even Oracle, able to provide answers to impossible questions by drawing them directly from the source.
The Cancer is always somewhat prickly, he’s essentially a sweet creature but he’s not harmless: he will regularily pinch you with his claws. Cancer is a provocative sign. They love to provoke people, and the reason behind it is simple: they secretly wish someone breaks the thick shell they have build around themselves for protection. They provoke because they are bored, or because they want to ‘test’ someone which is something they often do.
Cancer is a creative sign but their adventures are usually home adventures or adventures in dreams. They don’t like the outside world much. They prefer the world they see in their own visions and dreams. Typically you will see that lots of cancers are homebound and sooner or later lose their friends because their inactivity bothers them.
There is a sectret formula in Cancer, which is the formula of Cheth, and its methodology is that of abandonment. The Cancer must learn to become perfectly detached from his feelings in order to become the perfect Oracle for the world. That’s why a Cancer will easily abandon you, especially when he feels you are hurting his feelings and oh my, they often do. Try forgetting a Cancers birthday! He will complain for weeks if not months.
Complaining is one of their most negative characteristics. Who never has met a whiny Cancer simply never has met a real Cancer or has not gained their trust enough. Cancers whine. That makes they are not very compatible with fire signs, who hate that sort of whining, or air signs, who will analyse the hell out of every whine which the Cancer doesn’t appreciate.
The career of a Cancer
The Cancer will be absolutely in heaven if he can work from his home. He detests office jobs and 9-5 rhythms, he wants to ‘follow his feelings’ and work whenever he feels fit. In fact the Cancer is a much harder and more creative worker than most other signs are, but he must feel comfortable in the environment. One of the worst things that can happen to him is when he feels he can’t express his feelings. Once that happens the Cancer will crop up his feelings until the moment comes when he explodes. Once that happens he will be severely damaged already, for Cancers become ill when they can’t share or express feelings. So if the Cancer works outdoors it is absolutely necissary that he has people around him he can communicate with. Best jobs for a Cancer are creative jobs, things that involve colors and creativity and taste.
The Cancer in love
The Cancer easily falls in love, since he has little control over his feelings, but once he does oh oh, he can’t let go easily either! In fact if the love is not mutual it can effect and disturb the Cancer for many years, and he might even turn into some sort of stalking personality or some melancholic wreck just because someone doesn’t desire him. If the love is mutual he will be a very generous and attentive lover, but demanding on an emotional level. He will regilarily expect his lover to break through his shell, because that’s what love is about to him: breaking out of his little world. Love is the big dream, the big dream no Cancer can live without. A Cancer that can’t love anymore will not survive long. It is the fuel of his existence.
60 degree relations:
60 degree relations are the most common for relationships. These are the ‘good friends’ sort of relationships, that is often the best and most logical basis for long term commitment. For a Cancer these are:
* Taurus (23 April – 23 May)
The Cancer can feed the Taurus need of growth, but this combination is better for the Taurus. The essentially conservative Cancer will has the same basic needs as the Taurus: stability, luxury and a beautiful home life. These two make a great pair. The Cancers imagination will improve the Taurus sexlife and the Taurus will bring the stability and faithfullness into the equation the Cancer longs for. A potential area of conflict is the insensitivity of the Taurus which will regularily irritate the Cancer, and other way around the Cancers oversensitivity will irritate the Taurus which finds the Cancer much too complicated in the area of feelings. But essentially these two greatly satisfy each other and i think it’s one of the best possibles combos for the Cancer relationship-wise.
* Virgo (23 Augustus – 23 September)
Another combination with Earth: the fertile and critical Virgo matches well with the sensitive and creative Cancer. The Virgo likes to analyse and is one of the more conservative signs in the pack, the protection of a Cancer makes him feel secure and lets him relax his somewhat overcritical attitude. Virgos also share a love of details with Cancers: Virgo’s will often want to collect precious things, and the Cancer will neatly arrange them at their home. The Virgo’s thinking capacities will be strong enough to pierce the Cancers armor, which the Cancer appreciates, because this is what he is looking for in people. So even if the relation in the long run is a bit on the boring end, it will be a very stable combination.
120 degree relationships
These are relationships within the same element. These relationships tend to be very intense and intimate. They are in fact stronger than the 60 degree relations but harder to maintain because of their intensity. Once a proper balance is found they will likely, however, last forever, at least in the heart atmosphere. For a Cancer these are:
* Scorpio (23 October – 23 November)
This is a pair matched in heaven, but a dangerous heaven it is. This is a very turbulent relation filled with deep feelings and mutual love and provocations. The Scorpion understands the Cancer very well and can take him to new heights. The Cancer is also, because of his armour, the only sign that can withstand the sting of the Scorpion. These are partners for life, even if they will separate, they will never forget each other. The Scorpion, who is a very jealous type of sign, calms down when he has a reliable Cancer as a partner and this calm is something the Scorpion is actually looking for in a relationship. And as the Scorpio is the master of the piercing technique it fulfils the Cancers wish of someone able to get beyond his armour. Very good combination.
* Pisces or Fish (23 Februar – 23 March)
Ah, two dreamers have come together. This relation will work, for these two will feel each others feelings and as long as they share their dreams they will feel intrigued by each other, but this is not a relationship of great passion: these signs are essentially both passive and this relation forces the Cancer into the active role, which doesn’t really answer to his secret desires. Also the Fish doesn’t have the power to penetrate the Cancers scales which he will find disappointing. These two will have an almost pure ‘friends’ type of relationship which might be good, but there will always be an element of unfulfillment hidden in this relationship.
Opposite relationship
One hears often that ‘opposites attract’ and sometimes the opposite relation can be very good, since these signs can be sort of complimentary. In case of Cancer the opposite sign is:
* Capricorn 23 December – 23 January
This is an interesting but uneasy relationship. The Cancer and the Capricorn share ambitions, both want to become something in this world. The direct capricorn is sort of a blessing for the Cancer, and the leaps of the Capricorn might not be strong enough to pierce his scales but the clashing is interesting enough to the Cancer. The big downside, however, is that the Capricorn is way too insensitive for the Cancer. The Cancer will often feel insulted by this, and the Capricorn will go nuts from the Cancers provocations which he simply can’t understand. This is a good relation for sex and friendship, but a real long term love commitment will not be easy.
The sexual Cancer
The Cancer is a moody creature and his sexual performance is greatly influenced by those. He can be a great lover, exceeding in romance and sensitivity, he can be a raging pervert and even insensitive at times: all greatly depends on his mood. Once he learns to master his moods his capicity for lovemaking will greatly increase. In any case the Cancer is a sensitive and creative lover with quite a pinch.
