Scorpio is the 8th sign in the wheel of the Zodiac and he reperesents the transformation process, death, but he is in fact the start of death, not the end of it, and thus in a way still the most light of the winter signs. The Scorpio’s modus operandi is obsession. There are a few characteristics you can recognise Scorps by, one of them being their piercing look, secondly their rather dominant sexuality, thirdly the fact that they are almost deadly serious and fourthly their tendency to be obsessed with something, whether that be a person, a hobby or their own bellybutton. Scorps are secretive creatures and will not easily open up to anyone, but once they do you better be ready because they will demand not just your full attention but your full devotion and, if possible, your soul. They cannot and will never ‘share’ a lover – Scorpio is the most jealous sign in the pack and can’t stand the idea of unfaithfulness – of the other! But they are much less strict in their standards for themselves usually – even though they are far less hypocritical than, say, the Sagittarius.
Scorpio is the second water sign and as such these persons are all about feelings. Scorps are sensitive creatures and highly individualistic. The Younger scorp will usually be destructive in some way or other and may abuse drugs or abuse people through relationships. The older scorp will be considerably toned down and usually in older scorpions a great desire for peace manifests itself. One of the best talents of s scorpion is sex. They can have sex anytime, anyplace, anywhere. They would have sex all day long and they often do were it not that reality or the partner is not up to it. In regard to sex there is something strange about the scorpion – one feels almost like one has sex with an alien sometimes. This is because they have no problem whatsoever of totally letting themselves go and sex to them is a transformation process.
When you meet a Scorpion they don’t just look at you: they scan you. A Scorpion by nature is always looking for your weak spots. Once the Scorpion finds them, expect his sting sooner or later, and those can hurt, I tell you. The Scorpion is ruled by Mars and they are excellent fighters. They have no sense of morals so they don’t have any problem fighting dirty either: they will do whatever it takes to win. It is impossible to win a fight with a Scorpion unless you have very good armour and a lot of patience, or the fire ability to finish him off quickly.
That said, amongst Scorpios one usually finds the most sincere and sweet sort of people. The idea that they are somehow an ‘evil sign’ is totally ridiculous and based on a misunderstanding of nature and of the creative/destructive processes. But if you hook up with a Scorpion you can expect he will ry to push you beyond your boundaries, simply because he feels that is his purpose in life and rightly so.
The career of a Scorpio
Scorpio’s feel at home in anything that represents the idea of aggression and attack. Whether it be sport, sales, lawyer, anything that is challenging and has an oppurtunity to be a winner, the Scorpio loves every minute of it. However, he doesn’t like bosses or being bossed around. He has to be able to operate quite independantly. He also has to be treated with respect. Disrespect him and he will, sooner or later, stab you in the back and you won’t forget that occasion. The older Scorpions might rather prefer jobs that radiate peace, like jobs in nature or as an independant artist or writer.
The Scorpio in love
Water signs fall in love easily. But when the Scorpio falls in love he *has* to possess that person! He will simply do whatever it takes to get close and get them into his liar. He doesn’t just want sex, he usually wants to posess the whole person, soul included. This aggression is often much misunderstood by lots of signs, especially the more moderate ones. The Scorpion actually wants to transform himself through you, and transform you through him. This is a very intensive and even painful process, like the shedding of a snake’s skin, and usually the Scorp won’t be succesful in his attempt, but he will always somehow try.
60 degree relations:
60 degree relations are the most common for relationships. These are the ‘good friends’ sort of relationships, that is often the best and most logical basis for long term commitment. For a Scorpio these are:
* Virgo (23 August – 23 September)
A quite a difficult relationship with one exception: the Scorpion is very good at finding things hidden so he will likely be the one to find that ‘hidden key’ to unlock the passions of the Virgo. But even if he does, that’s rather the start of the problems rather than the end of it. Even though the Virgo offers stability and rest to the Scorpion it’s critical abilities will not fare well with the passionate nature of Scorpio who cannot stand criticism at all and will regularily bite when he is criticized. The worst part comes when tyhe Virgo starts to feel the dark, breeding Scorpion is essentially impure and will try purify the person which is impossible through analysis. A long term relation between these signs is possible only if the Scorpion is of later age and has calmed down tremendously.
* Capricorn (23 December – 23 Januar)
Oh my, now this relation will be centered around three things: sex, sex and…. sex! This is a good combination, the dark Capricorn is able to control the Darkness of Scorpion, and Capricorn represents the real death instead of the ‘death transformation’ of Scorpion. Because both these signs are essentially dark they might run into problems in that regard: they might start to depress each other when they have no higher goals to attain to. The sex might get more and more extreme and a power struggle might develop between them. With dim chances for either of them to win, because Saturn is as hard to beat as Mars is. But if these two become close friends this might be a relationship for life.
120 degree relationships
These are relationships within the same element. These relationships tend to be very intense and intimate. They are in fact stronger than the 60 degree relations but harder to maintain because of their intensity. Once a proper balance is found they will likely, however, last forever, at least in the heart atmosphere. For a Scorpio these are:
* Cancer (23 june – 23 july)
This is a pair matched in heaven, but a dangerous heaven it is. This is a very turbulent relation filled with deep feelings and mutual love and provocations. The Scorpion understands the Cancer very well and can take him to new heights. The Cancer is also, because of his armour, the only sign that can withstand the sting of the Scorpion. These are partners for life, even if they will separate, they will never forget each other. The Scorpion, who is a very jealous type of sign, calms down when he has a reliable Cancer as a partner and this calm is something the Scorpion is actually looking for in a relationship. And as the Scorpio is the master of the piercing technique it fulfils the Cancers wish of someone able to get beyond his armour. Very good combination.
* Pisces (23 Februar – 23 March)
This might work, but the vagueness and illogical behaviour of the Fish might also drive the Scorpion nuts. Also, it’s very hard to possess someone who is always walking with his head in the clouds. This relation might therefore be better for older Scorps and older Fishes who have learned to come down to earth somewhat. In that perspective this could be a fruitful combination, even though the sexuality of the Scorpion is much different than the sexuality of a Fish. So the chances that this will be a great relationship are, in the end, sort of dim.
Opposite relationship
One hears often that ‘opposites attract’ and sometimes the opposite relation can be very good, since these signs can be sort of complimentary. In case of Scorpio the opposite sign is:
* Taurus (23 April – 23 May)
Another great attraction, and sexually a pair matched in heaven: the obsessed scorpio and the always-ready to-get-fucked Venusial Taurus make a dynamic pair in bed. Problem is, however, that outside of bed they don’t have too much in common. The scorpion is not interested in stability, he wants change and transformation. He wants to be challenged, and not just sexually even though the scorpion is a quite sexual sign. So I don’t see much potential for this relationship in the longer run. The conservative taurus will irritate the hell out of the transformative scorpion sooner or later, and the lack of mental and intellectual challenge will cause him to seek his challenge elsewhere. That might result in some sort of ‘only-for-sex’ relationship but that is ultimately rather unfulfilling to the both of them.
The sexual Scorpion:
Anytime, anywhere, anyone. That’s pretty much the markup of a Scorpion. When they flirt its always directly sexual. They’ll cut to the heart of the matter and become physical immediately. Their sexlife is wild and often appears exxagerated to other signs, but it isn’t, it’s just intense.
