The Prince of Disks:

The Prince of Disks rules the last 10 degrees of Aries and the first 20 degrees of Taurus. We see a boy sitting on a heavy wagon made of iron or lead. He is riding to a wheat field and the wagon is pulled forth by a Bull. In his one hand the Prince holds a staff with a celtic cross on top, the other hand rests on a geometrical skeleton of a globe. In the globe a cube can be seen (‘The cube in the circle’. The Prince of Disks is the Airy part of Earth. That’s why behind him thousands of mud bubbles rise into the air.

The Prince represents the florescence and fructification of the Earth. His interest is bringing things to bloom. He will therefore be quite allergic to any form of negativity: to him any form of negativity appears as exactly opposite to his mission: to make things grow and bloom. He will therefore always spread a message that can be recognized by its childlike simplicity and optimism: he represents the first contact of earthly things with air, and is not able to cope with any form of decline.

The character denoted by this card is one of great, but slow, energy which is applied strictly to practical matters. This prince has very little interest in anything that does not directly advance him in a practical sort of way. Philosophy, Art, Spirituality are only of interest to him in as far as they yield practical results that are to his direct advantage. He is a skillful worker, working steadily on his usually simple plan, with interest only in bringing his environment to bloom. He persistently seeks new uses for common things, and is constantly amazed at the endless possibilities of the materials that surround him.

The Prince is somehwat of an insensitive creature, except that he greatly enjoys his senses when they relate to material things or sensations. As a person he can seem dull, but this is because he makes no effort to try understand ideas that are beyond his grasp. He doesn’t easily get angry but if he does he’s like an unstoppable bull. His mission in life is to slowly advance and make the things around him bloom.
