The Queen of Swords:

The Queen of Swords rules from the last 10 degrees of Virgo until the 20th degree of Libra. She is a warrior woman enthroned upon the clouds and in her hands she hold a decapitated head of a wise man. In her other hand she hold a sword which she points down to the earth. The Queen of Swords is the Water of air, and thus the perfect symbol for the September rains. Above her head there are crystal shapes and on top of that crystalline structure there is the head of a child.

The persons Characterized by this card are clever, keen, and think with great clarity. Their interest is to liberate the mind from all false thoughts (that’s what the decapitated head symbolizes, which could also be a masque). These persons are very perceptive and intelligent observers, which is also usually what limits them: they lack the power to be really involved in the things they observe and because their principal role is to demasque falsehoods they have little time to do the opposite, to create thruths. As such on the whole this card is a bit negative, and persons who are ruled by this character will always be a bit cold in the inside (observant, air, crystal/ice).

Another aspect of their character is that they are very graceful and exceptional in balancing and dancing. They will often seem extremely beautiful to an onlooker, many of which will fall in love with their clarity and aloofness, until they realize that these people are often unable to really connect due to their observant nature. Lots of Femme Fatales will probably be ruled by this card.

Advantage is to be won, moreover, by reliance on help from apparently unsuitable comrades.
This alien strength often supplies the defeat of inherent weakness, and may even create definite superiority to circumstance. In such an event, there may be temptation to undertake rash adventures, foredoomed to failure. But even so, no blame is incurred; the conditions of True Will have been satisfied, and the issue is compensated by the feeling that the right (however unfortunate) course has been adopted. Such people acquire intense love and devotion from the most unexpected quarters.
