That’s Charles Crumb, Robert Crumb’s brother. (Just watched Crumb again).
Now watching Ghost World (by same director, Terry Zwigoff). Two girls walk by a man who always waits for the bus on a spot where there has been no bus line for two years. And there is some Skip James:

sounds beautifully (and a bit like ‘waiting for godot’..)
Ghost World is one of my favourites. Ultra nostalgia. Reminds me of high school and that whole frame-of-mind.
Yes I really liked it as well. For me it was semi-nostalgia: remembered seeing it but only had vague recollections. Liked how the bus theme returns later on in the movie; and I watched it just after watching Crumb, so also noticed a lot of Crumb in this film.
